This exciting opportunity will give you the chance to work first hand in fabricating a variety of orthotics and prosthetic devices. You will work closely with the Clinician and patients to help adjust and repair the devices by fabricating orthoses and their components. This work environment will be away from the exam room, typically in a small workshop. Since this role is focusing heavily on the fabrication process, hand skills and familiarity with hand tools is necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience with band saws, drill presses, vacuum systems, heat guns, blades, speed routers, and other small hand tools.

Responsibilities would be for two clinic locations: Flamingo Rd and Henderson, NV. Our Flamingo clinic is location on the West side of the 15 Freeway (away from the Las Vegas Strip). The Hanger Clinic in Henderson is set in a medical building, with a multi-physician office across the hall that keeps the clinic busy. There are several hospitals and physical rehab facilities that also refer patients on a regular basis. The Henderson clinic and Las Vegas clinics have a 24 hour, 7 day a week on-call service set up to provide care to all the area hospitals and facilities that are in need. Henderson has a large hospital system that is an amazing referral. The on-call rotation is typically every 5-7 weeks and rotating holidays. There are many great reasons you might be interested. For starters. Vegas is the home of the Las Vegas Raiders training facility, as well as a minor leage baseball team, and soon to be an MLB team transitioning from Oakland. There is also a NASCAR track. Henderson and the Las Vegas area are a Mecca of entertainment, from amazing Hotels and Casinos to countless outdoor activities. The Community Care Coordinator (CCC) provides superior patient support and customer service via proactive intervention, communication, and patient advocacy as well as providing emotional and educational support to patients and families coping with limb loss and/or a variety of orthotic and prosthetic needs. The CCC will work under the general direction of the ACM / CM or his/her designee, utilizing communication and management skills to coordinate seamless care delivery for patients with amputations / limb difference. The CCC should be equipped with a thorough understanding of prosthetics, orthotics, and the medical/healthcare field. The CCC provides patient consultation, comfort, and guidance through the spectrum of initial patient referral and interaction, surgery, recovery, treatment and rehab. The CCC will provide the highest level of customer/client service to prosthetic and orthotic patients, referral sources, and colleagues through the coordination and administration of prosthetic and orthotic patient care. Through interacting with healthcare providers in the community, the CCC will also be responsible for building relationships and fostering new opportunities to serve more patients. Working closely with Hanger personnel and office staff, this position holds responsibility for the day to day management of, and communication with patients, care team members and referral partners to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

The Computer Design Technician utilizes Computer Assisted Design software to create digital patient models for fabrication. The technician is expected to keep abreast of all new fabricating techniques and must be familiar with the properties of pertinent materials and must be skilled in the use of state of the art computer equipment.
The O & P Fabrication Specialist fabricates orthoses and prostheses to provide maximum fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship. The Fabrication Specialist is expected to keep abreast of all new fabricating techniques and must be familiar with the properties of pertinent materials and must be skilled in the use of appropriate equipment.
Coordinate the work activities of a small team for timely and cost effective delivery of fabricated devices. Ensure adherence to all safety and administrative policies and procedures.
