In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless experience for clients, patients, fellow employees, and external business partners through the coordination and administration of front office operations. Accurately collect and maintain customer information while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and compliance programs. Foster positive relationships with customers and business partners through professional, responsive support.

Your Impact

  • Deliver the highest level of customer service to clients, fellow employees, and external business partners.
  • Maintain accurate and complete customer records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the privacy, security, and confidentiality of customer information.
  • Assist with customer follow-up activities as directed.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and customer satisfaction efforts as needed.
  • Enter and maintain customer information and related documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Effectively manage multiple phone lines and communication channels.
  • Prepare and maintain written documentation that is clear, concise, and accurate.
  • Organize and file customer records and other documentation according to established guidelines.
  • Coordinate schedules and appointments to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient workflow.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Be at minimum a good fit for the job, as determined by the Talent Sorter assessment preferred. Hanger will administer the Talent Sorter as part of the selection process
  • Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required.
  • Experience in a receptionist position or experience with medical front office procedures preferred.
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures. 

Additional Success Factors

  • Strong interpersonal, oral (including telephone) and written communication skills.
  • Ability to key 30 words per minute with accuracy required.
  • Ability to work with handicapped individuals.
  • Understanding of Alpha filing system.
  • Understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology and an understanding of front office (receptionist) duties preferred.
  • Ability to use a computer, including Windows-based software and e-mail.
  • Ability to use all necessary office equipment, facsimile machines, calculator, postage machine, copier, etc.
  • Act with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships.
