The Data Engineer I will be able to identify, assess, fix, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used. The Data Engineer I interacts with business users to resolve reporting problems using techniques such as root cause analysis as well as collecting user requirements. The Data Engineer I will provide recommendations for the design, implementation and monitoring quality procedures for use in the data quality and governance process. The Data Engineer I will have experience in development and data quality and profiling tools for performing data cleansing operations to ensure data is complete, consistent and reconciled. The Data Engineer I will have proficient skills in necessary coding languages to be able to perform data cleansing operations to ensure data is complete, consistent and reconciled. The Data Engineer I will assist with the creation, analysis and support of various business reports and studies.

Your Impact

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing data quality reports
  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in inventory valuation data
  • Filter and “clean” data and review reports and performance indicators to locate and correct problems
  • Work with Financial and Accounting data to provide ad hoc reports and analysis
  • Assist with Profitability, Revenue, Contract and Warranty projects, taking the lead where needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, MIS or Computer Science or equivalent – OR - a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of data analyst experience is required
  • Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio required, including ability to write and understand SQL queries
  • Experience with Oracle applications, including PostgreSQL and BIP creation
  • Experience with Python, Java or C#
