The Director National Accounts - Remote strategy and business development role is responsible for the creation and initiation of the overall sales and marketing strategy for GPOs and IDNs. This position will aid Hanger Clinic in the development of partnerships and contractual agreements with individual hospitals, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN’s), and hospital systems as well as our GPO channel partners. This position will collaborate closely with the Hanger field clinic organization including operational leadership, regional sales leadership, local sales, payor relations and strategy leadership, as well as distribution and purchasing, to ensure the execution of a comprehensive Hospital solutions strategy for Hanger.

Your Impact

  • Achieving sales goals through team execution of comprehensive B2B customer strategies
  • Leadership & Strategy: Develop and implement sales and strategic account management plans for the National Accounts team, focusing on growth and customer partnership opportunities.
  • Team Management: Foster team collaboration across clinical, operational, and administrative functions to achieve organizational goals.
  • Industry Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within HS, GPO and IDN organizations, including at the C-Suite level.
  • Performance Tracking: Forecast, track, and report on key performance metrics, including sales and financial metrics to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Innovation & Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance market access strategies and optimize partner engagement.
  • Translate Voice of the Customer to key internal stakeholders towards the goal of creating differentiated market solutions.
  • Create and develop professional team skills to meet C-Level clientele and key decision maker’s demands within complex GPO/ IDN channels.
  • Grow Hanger revenue through expanded or new hospital relationships that increase in referrals and increase in revenue from devices delivered to patients.
  • Work with Regional Vice Presidents to establish goals, strategic sales plans and targets.
  • Provide direction on integrating and coordinating products and services with Hanger and partner field teams to drive growth at local and regional level while ensuring marketplace differentiation, improved outcomes and patient satisfaction to the customer.
  • Collaborate with marketing organization for the development and execution of a value proposition for hospitals.
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of current market dynamics and healthcare trends within the industry and leading hospital systems.
  • Develop hospital partnerships that contractually allow Hanger to take care of patients that require orthotic and prosthetic services.
  • Develop and lead other senior level hospital sales professionals.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience leadership experience in Health Systems National Accounts, B2B sales, Business Development
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with decision-makers of hospitals and IDN’s.
  • The ability to travel up to 50%, dependent upon target priorities.
  • Success in introducing new concepts to the market.
  • Knowledge and success of the hospital purchasing/clinical environment mandatory.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding targets and objectives.
  • Ability to think creatively & bring innovative solutions to marketing challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex product offerings and customer issues.
  • Exceptional communication and people skills, with proven ability to negotiate successfully and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including C-Suite level.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of GPO/Healthcare IDN market space and corresponding key players
  • Proven history of consistently exceeding sales growth, channel partnership and financial goals/metrics
  • Player/Coach with demonstrated commitment to success and development of team; building of bench strength.

Pay range of $235,000 to $255,000 annual salary + annual bonus: up to 30% of base pay depending on bonus criteria.  This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws.  Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
