The National Events Specialist III - Remote will support the National Events Director in the planning and execution of employee- and patient-focused events. In addition to supporting the implementation of the company’s national annual conference, Hanger LIVE, the National Events Specialist will have the opportunity to lead the creation and implementation of a virtual one-day component of Hanger LIVE for employees not attending the in-person event. The event specialist will also support the planning and coordination of other larger-scale meetings requiring extensive logistical support and coordination, in addition to the company’s flagship national patient events.

Your Impact

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

 

  • Manage and lead the Hanger LIVE one-day virtual event for over 3,000 online attendees, including coordination with company leaders, educators, and employees.
  • Develop and adhere to the virtual event production schedule, to include managing deadlines for course content, graphics, and attendee communications.
  • Assist with event logistics with the in-person Hanger LIVE team from pre-planning to concept development to completion which may include registration, communication, agendas, scheduling, travel/transportation, accommodations, menus, liaison with education component/vendors/exhibits, audio-visual, presentation, and event production.
  • Assist with Hanger Clinic’s national flagship patient events, including but not limited to: researching and negotiating vendor/venue contracts and providing oversight of vendor/venue commitments to include hotel, travel, AV, décor, furniture, entertainment, transportation and video/photo crews.
  • Track event metrics and generate post-event reports, analyzing data on attendance and engagement, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for future events.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to clearly communicate event execution timing and expectations.
  • Provide on-site event leadership and partnership to deliver events as planned and serve as on-site lead for clear direction, to answer questions and provide solutions.
  • Assist with the coordination, planning and execution of other enterprise events and meetings that require advanced logistics and support to include but limited to regional meetings, Board meetings, and town halls.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Management, Marketing or Public Relations, or an applicable field.
  • 7+ years of event planning, hotel convention services management, and/or conference planning experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. 
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

  • Experience with management of food and beverage services, marketing and collateral development, venue oversight, and exhibit management for in-person events.

Pay range of $76,000 to $90,000 annual salary + annual bonus: up to 8% of base pay depending on bonus criteria.  This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws.  Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
