Fillauer is hiring an Assembly Technician responsible for fabricating and assembling prosthetic products to Fillauer’ s high standards of quality and craftsmanship. This position involves operating machinery, sewing leather straps, laminating, and assembling components used in prosthetic devices. The role requires attention to detail, strong manual skills, and a commitment to producing products that enhance the lives of our patients.

Your Impact

  • Operate and maintain a clicker dye press to cut materials for prosthetic components.
  • Sewing leather straps for prosthetic applications with precision and consistency.
  • Fabricate and laminate prosthetic forearms according to production specifications.
  • Assemble prosthetic products and components to meet established quality standards.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, durability, and compliance with design requirements.
  • Follow work orders, technical drawings, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and resolve issues.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training a plus.
  • Prior experience in assembly, fabrication, or leatherworking a plus.
  • Ability to operate sewing machines, presses, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong hand–eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
  • Team-oriented with good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity to handle small parts and tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as required.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
