The Operational Excellence IV- Supply Chain, is an integral part of Hanger’s Supply Chain operations strategy.The position, reporting to the Director of Quality Systems, will play a key role in the development of Lean culture and continous improvement mindset across manufacturing, fabrication, distribution and customer operations. This hands on leader is responsible for leading Lean Six Sigma Black Belt projects, leading & facilitating workshops targeting the application of Lean fundamentals (ie. Daily Accountability, Visual Management, Value-Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Root-Cause Problem-Solving, etc.), developing & delivering training content, coaching Green Belts / Yellow Belts / Lean Leaders, working with business leaders to identify improvement opportunities, as well as recommend and implement data-driven, process changes.  While performing this tactical activity, The Operational Excellence IV will maintain awareness of the long-term objectives of the organization, embodying the qualities of a leader adept at translating vision into tangible results.

Your Impact

  • Leading and managing Lean Six Sigma projects to improve business processes and reduce waste and variation.
  • Provide leadership and support necessary to continuous improvement projects, applying Lean and Six Sigma tools to strategic projects and goals of the business.
  • Champions process improvement culture and lean program development; oversees the implementation of best practices across the entire supply chain.
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring team members in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams & engage with business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Analyzing data and using statistical tools to identify root causes of problems and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Facilitating change management activities to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of improvements.
  • Communicating project progress, results, return on investment and impact to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of quality system-related procedures as they evolve and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with company and government quality, safety and environmental regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Engineering, Business, Management).
  • 8 years’ related business experience.
  • 4 years+ plus demonstrated, hands-on Lean Six Sigma experience as part of a large scale transformation
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. (*from a recognized body, supported by practical application of LSS DMAIC/DMADV methodology and successful completion of a minimum of six LSS Black Belt projects.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively interact with diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Work on-site at a Hanger Facility w/ ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred

  • Experience in Supply Chain, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare environment(s).
  • Hands-on experience in FDA Class 1 and Class 2 medical device environments and related FDA regulations (incl 21 CFR Part 820; ISO 13485.)
  • Change Management certification.
  • Quality Management Certification (Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager, etc.)
  • Lead Auditor Certification
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing / distribution locations with a workforce exceeding 350 full-time equivalents (FTEs).
  • Experience in Power BI or similar digital systems.

  • Expert knowledge of distribution and manufacturing operations including concepts of related to productivity, efficiency, and quality.
