The Provider Payor Relations and Strategy Account Manager - Remote plays a vital role in optimizing Hanger’s revenue by leading strategic initiatives focused on rate improvement, contract expansion, and managed care. This position requires a blend of sales expertise, contract negotiation skills, and customer relationship management to drive profitable growth. Managing accounts across multiple states, the manager collaborates with health plans, hospital systems, and internal teams to ensure continued success in the market.

Your Impact

Strategic Rate & Contract Management

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase reimbursement rates annually within existing contracts.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring competitive pricing and contract retention.
  • Adjust contract terms as needed to align with evolving business objectives.

Revenue Growth & Market Expansion

  • Identify opportunities to expand Hanger’s contracts and grow the portfolio of Orthotics & Prosthetics (O&P) products.
  • Implement a Business Plan for Managed Care, prioritizing profitable growth.
  • Analyze financial data and market trends to optimize revenue for key accounts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Commercial Operations to ensure contracts are properly loaded and audited.
  • Partner with the Hanger Clinic Team to facilitate business reviews and negotiation support. Coordinate with the Hospital Sales Team to develop strategic partnerships with health systems.

Client & Payor Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with large customers and health plan contacts.
  • Provide customer education and training to enhance contract performance.
  • Manage responses to escalated issues within assigned accounts.

Process Improvement & Leadership

  • Lead projects focused on contract management and payor strategy improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, supporting internal teams in contract-related inquiries.
  • Some travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in healthcare sales, contract negotiations, or payor relations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of managed care, reimbursement models, and healthcare market trends.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe
  • Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities.

Pay range of $120,000 to $140,000 annual salary + annual bonus.  This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws.  Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
