We are seeking a Payroll Analyst III to join our Austin, TX HQ. This role will perform all activities necessary to accurately and effectively process payrolls, including maintaining related records, filing voluntary deduction reports processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures and preparing special reports for managements.  Audits incoming files and entries to ensure accuracy.  Assists Payroll Director in the resolution of non-routine issues. 

Your Impact

  • Prepare and process payroll for employees biweekly using the ADP Vantage system
  • Auditing and reconciliation of Time and payroll for imports to ADP Vantage system and payroll registers
  • Oversee processes for employee Garnishments, Child Support, and levies including monitoring of all third party checks
  • Responsible for researching and responding to questions for Time and payroll processes
  • Auditing payroll including (but not limited to) worksheets, benefit/pension imports, PTO, event changes and employee changes
  • Prepares manual checks for distribution
  • Processes Positive pays to Bank of America for manual checks when necessary
  • Research and maintain all checks to be voided, corrected and/or adjusted due to errors
  • Create reports ad hoc and as needed for routine requests
  • Report cash flow data after each payroll processed, as well as other scheduled reporting
  • Performs testing for upgrades or enhancements related to the time and payroll systems
  • Participate with staff by assisting with projects, or helping to resolve issues and backfills as needed
  • Prepare and process special payments such as retro, bonus, terminations, gift cards, commissions, auto allowance and benefit adjustments
  • Document and maintain payroll processes for standard operating procedures
  • Develop, implement and practice proper internal controls to limit exposure to fraud and abuse
  • Assist Payroll Tax Associate when needed
  • Provide positive support and interaction with co-workers, internal customers and business partners
  • Works closely with the Payroll Director to ensure accurate operations of the payroll functions with minimal errors

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience including completion of entire payroll cycle.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite Applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook as well as internet applications.
  • Experience in garnishments and multi-state payroll
  • Experience with payroll systems and interfaces, preferably ADP
  • Associates Degree or equivalent training, education and experience beyond high school required
  • FPC or CPP  Designation Preferred

  • Proficient and very experienced with payroll systems and interfaces preferably ADP.
