We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Business Architect, reporting to the CIO, to lead and optimize our business capabilities, ensuring alignment with our mission to provide innovative and high-quality prosthetic solutions. The ideal candidate will drive business transformation by integrating strategy, technology, and operations to enhance efficiency, compliance, and customer experience. This role is crucial in aligning business strategic objectives with enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring scalability and sustainable growth.

Your Impact

Strategic Business to Technology Alignment:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business architecture framework that aligns corporate goals and industry best practices to technology landscape and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define long-term strategic roadmaps and business transformation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to drive competitive advantage and business growth through operational excellence and innovation.

Process & Enterprise Data Optimization and Efficiency:

  • Translate digital technology best practices to inform end-to-end business processes, ensuring seamless integration across departments such as finance, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer service.
  • Utilize business modeling methodologies to design process efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure optimized data and process, including enterprise master data

Technology and Digital Transformation:

  • Partner with IT leadership to align digital initiatives with business goals, including ERP systems, data analytics, and emerging technologies such as 3D printing and AI-based prosthetic solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that enhance operational capabilities and patient outcomes.
  • Drive the integration and adoption of automation and process digitization across the organization.

Regulatory and Compliance Integration:

  • Ensure business modeling designs comply with healthcare regulations such as FDA, HIPAA, and ISO standards.
  • Work closely with regulatory and quality teams to embed compliance and risk management into operational practices.
  • Monitor industry regulatory changes and lead the adaptation of business strategies accordingly.

Product and Service Innovation Support:

  • Collaborate with R&D and marketing teams to align product development strategies with market demands and business goals.
  • Support the launch of new products and services by ensuring scalable and compliant business models.
  • Leverage customer insights to drive innovation and enhance patient-centric solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Reporting to CIO, act as a key liaison between business units, technology teams, and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Foster collaboration across teams to ensure alignment of business and operational strategies.
  • Identify key business performance metrics and strategic recommendations that are derived from the business modeling efforts to senior leadership.

Financial and Operational Performance Management:

  • Collaborate with finance leadership to align corporate controls that influence strategic priorities/objectives and govern non-finance business process.
  • Overlay business performance data onto the business model and provide insights to optimize business decision-making, operational execution, and technology strategies.
  • Drive business modeling efforts to set 5 year horizon for improving profitability, operational resilience, and scalability.

Change Management and Risk Mitigation:

  • Reflect change management initiatives against business models to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, tools, and systems.
  • Continuously review, reflect, and improve business model to identify potential business risks and model mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Champion a culture of adaptability, continuous learning, and process innovation.

Talent Development and Leadership:

  • Assist in the building and mentor a high-performing team of business architects and data analysts.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the organization.

Provide leadership in driving the organization's transformation initiatives and strategic goals

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in business architecture, strategic planning, or operational leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of business process frameworks, enterprise architecture principles, and operational best practices.
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures. 

Additional Success Factors

  • Proven experience in driving large-scale business transformation and digital initiatives.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements such as FDA, HIPAA, and ISO standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex business challenges and provide strategic solutions.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling tools and enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM platforms.
  • Experience in the medical industry or healthcare technology sector.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience apply financial limitations to business model.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.

Pay range of $162,080 to $202,600 annual salary + annual bonus: up to 25% of base pay depending on bonus criteria.  This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws.  Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
