Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Accounting for the Lease Accounting Team, the Senior Accountant - Lease Accounting will work across the organization to gather the necessary information to report property level financial statements. Some of the key functions in this role include routine lease accounting work, reconciliation for key accounts and various financial analyses in the Lease Accounting Area. 

Your Impact

Based out of Hanger's Resource Center in Austin, TX the Senior Accountant will be responsible for: 

  • Analyze commercial real estate and equipment leases for proper accounting treatments.
  • Research accounting implications of lease and facilities' transactions and present conclusions with adequate level of rationale and documentation for review.
  • Prepare lease related disclosures for financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly analysis of certain key accounts and other account analysis.
  • Responsible for aspects of the monthly, quarterly and yearly close process.
  • Perform aspects of external and internal audit activities.
  • Maintain and monitor controls necessary to ensure that lease accounting is compliant with company policy and GAAP.
  • Work with respective Manager to ensure SOX controls in place.
  • Work with Field Administrative Area Managers and Directors of Operations in consultative manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years accounting experience supporting a public company required.
  • 2 years of lease accounting experience preferred.
  • BS Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA candidate preferred.
  • Co-Star experience preferred.
  • Travel required- at least 2 time per year.
