This exciting opportunity will give you the chance to work firsthand in a first of its kind facility fabricating highly specialized prosthetic devices for lower and upper extremity. You will work closely with the clinician and patients to help adjust and repair the devices by fabricating prostheses and assisting in performance testing of the devices. This work environment will be in a spacious new concept design facility that specializes in prosthetics, education, training, and performance evaluations. Since this role is focusing heavily on the fabrication process, hand skills and familiarity with hand tools is necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience with band saws, drill presses, vacuum systems, heat guns, blades, speed routers, and other small hand tools. Experience working with computers, CAD-CAM, 3D printing, custom rolled-silicone, scanning technology and pre-preg techniques are preferred and there will be opportunities to advance these skills.
