Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting for the Fixed Assets Team, the Sr. Supervisor Fixed Assets Accounting-Hybrid will enhance Hanger’s mission to Empower Human Potential by executing complex and non-routine accounting tasks while leading a high-performing, collaborative team. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Accounting Policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the team consistently delivers complete, accurate, and high-quality work.

In this role, you will utilize your leadership and management skills to prioritize tasks and oversee the performance of 2-4 Accountants and/or Senior Accountants. You will foster strong relationships with corporate and field teams, guiding best practices and collecting necessary information to ensure accuracy in Fixed Assets reporting. Additionally, you will manage the work of external parties with similar responsibilities and complexities. Drawing on your previous experience, you will exercise discretion in making judgments on both routine and non-routine issues

Your Impact

Based out of Hanger's Resource Center in Austin, TX the Fixed Assets Sr. Supervisor will be responsible for: 

  • Ensure accurate calculation, support, and reconciliation of the Fixed Asset Sub-Ledger and corresponding general ledger accounts.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to fixed assets.
  • Collaborate with the Mergers and Acquisitions Team to conduct due diligence and account for acquired fixed assets.
  • Assist in managing external and internal audit activities related to fixed assets.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Accounting Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Enhance and review analytical processes and controls.
  • Prioritize and review staff activities to maintain high work quality and productivity.
  • Manage staff performance and support their ongoing development.
  • Foster effective working relationships with key business partners.
  • Collaborate with the respective Manager to ensure SOX controls are in place and operating effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 5 years of accounting experience in a public company.
  • Oracle Fixed Assets experience preferred.
  • Proven intermediate-level proficiency in Excel.
  • Preferred experience in leading teams, either directly or indirectly, in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Experience and working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, Oracle Fusion a plus.
