    As the Director - Organizational Development and Training, you will have tremendous impact as you assess, design, implement and manage successful leadership assessment & development systems, talent planning, succession management, organizational development programs and processes and initiatives driving organizational effectiveness and employee engagement/performance. You will be instrumental in accelerating organizational alignment, change, and development in support of Hanger’s strategy, purpose, vision and values. You will lead a team of field trainers and organizational professionals while serving as a trusted resource and business partner whose work is integrally tied to leadership and the strategic and cultural objectives of the organization.  Reporting to the CHRO, we will depend on you to establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. You will have the opportunity to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company and best practices. You will actively participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.     Your Impact

    Your exceptional interpersonal, influencing, facilitation and oral/written communication skills will be critcial as you:


    • Develop and deliver a comprehensive talent management strategy inclusive of effective succession management and talent planning processes and organizational, leadership and professional development programming.
    • Create and track key measures to ensure talent development and organizational effectiveness.
    • Craft and deliver learning strategy for Hanger overall to ensure organizational and individual readiness to achieve strategic objectives in the near- and long-term.
    • Partner regularly with our HR Business Partner team to:
    • drive a culture of accountability for talent management and employee engagement
    • design and deliver training & development programs that are aligned with workforce planning initiatives
    • design and implement effective succession planning and annual performance management processes
    • develop short and longer-term career pathing and individual development plans in support of overall talent pool objectives and in support of Hanger leadership competency model and values-aligned behavior
    • Serve as the subject matter expert and leader in the development and deployment of organizational change initiatives aimed at improving the operational efficiency of the organization
    • Lead all employee engagement efforts aimed at maximizing employee productivity and commitment including program development, facilitation and training delivery/distribution, communication, strategic action planning and measurement
    • Implement processes to support efficient training administration and record keeping protocols (e.g., learning and performance/succession management systems)
    • Lead instructional systems design efforts, including needs assessments, curriculum development and uses delivery modality selection including virtual, e-learning, self-paced and classroom approaches
    • Partner with internal communications to create and promote program materials
    • Provide overall leadership for professional and technical trainers responsible for ensuring that all Hanger employees receive concise and actionable education to optimize use of and improvements to systems, including electronic health records and practice management system
    • Develop vendor relationships, negotiates agreements and manages vendor relationships to ensure effective partnerships and best outcomes for Hanger

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.  Relevant work experience in addition to the below required minimum experience may be substituted on a year of year basis in lieu of a bachelor's degree.  
    • A minimum of ten (10) years of related organizational/leadership development, learning and talent management experience to include no less than 3 years in a leadership role managing others is required.
    • Previous experience demonstrating executive coaching skills and large-scale project management skills is required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Organizational Development, Education, or related field is strongly preferred.
    • Experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment is preferred.
    • DDI, PCC, PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.

    • Strong facilitation and executive coaching skills
    • Hands on experience leading enterprise change efforts resulting in positive, quantifiable outcomes
    • Experience implementing organizational development improvement cycles (e.g. conducting needs assessments, diagnosing, designing and developing applicable interventions and implementing and evaluating interventions.)
    • Demonstrated ability to make data driven decisions and use both quantitative and qualitative measures to assess, monitor and report on the success of interventions.
    • Proficiency in using learning and development software and systems that deliver best-in-class learner experiences
    • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, including remote employees
