    Hanger is searching for a Compliance Analyst in our Austin, Texas location. As our Analyst, you will be responsible for the program management of one of several enterprise compliance practices, Activities related to Privacy and Quality could include drafting and implementing Policies and Procedures, Privacy Roadmap, supporting Privacy-Security Committee, tracking and trending HIPAA breaches and other associated program requirements.  Quality program activities generally focus on Quality Management Council and reports to QCTO

    Your Impact

    • Writing Privacy P&Ps in clear, concise, practical manner based on interpretation of HIPAA regulation or other subjects as assigned
    • Monitor regulatory changes associated with HIPAA Privacy and Security rules and state and federal level.
    • Collaborate with VP Chief Privacy Officer to draft, implement, analyze annual Privacy Risk Assessment
    • Draft and implement privacy road map based on Privacy Risk Assessment results
    • Support investigation reports of suspected violations of the company’s compliance program and laws or regulations. 
    • Analyze root causes of privacy issues and to make operational recommendations to prevent future breaches
    • Provide administrative support for high level executive committees:  ECC, QMC, Privacy-Security
    • Supports reporting process, runs/analyzes reports for senior management.
    • Other projects as assigned

     

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field of Study
    • Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

    • Use of personal computer, MS Office applications, and general office equipment
    • Proficient analytical, interpersonal, communication, organizational and numerical skills essential
    • Experience working with compliance workflows and processes.
    • The ability to research, understand, apply and communicate government regulatory information
    • Ideal candidate is detail-oriented and organized, with excellent time management and communication skills.
    • Strong understanding of HIPAA privacy regulations on a state and national level.
    • Certification in Health Care Privacy strongly preferred.
    • Able to produce clear guidance geared for all audiences.
    • Be a self-starter who works well independently, but knows when to seek input or ask for guidance.
    • Excellent organization skills and high attention to detail.
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
