    We have an exciting opportunity for a uniquely qualified leader to join a $1B Company that wants to lead the orthotic & prosthetic markets by providing superior patient care, outcomes, services and value.   Hanger is preparing to emerge from a financial restatement period with a strong controls environment and an efficient accounting and financial operation. 


    The Revenue Sr. Accountant will report to the Revenue Accounting Manager.  This position will be responsible for implementing and ascertaining that the company’s revenue cycle is aligned with new revenue recognition standards.  This involves performing technical research, evaluating current processes, determining proper policies and procedures, and documenting findings and conclusions.  


    The candidate’s success will depend on his/hers ability to understand current operational and find ways to make the necessary corrections to ascertain that our processes meet US GAAP revenue requirements.  This candidate needs to be a self-starter, hands-on, detail oriented and possess a result driven mentality.  

    Your Impact

    • Actively participate in monthly and quarterly revenue close activities
    • Review sales and other agreements to identify accounting issues and to monitor compliance with the company's revenue recognition policies
    • Develop and implement revenue related accounting Policies and SOP to support business goals while meeting US GAAP guidance.
    • Perform technical research citing accounting guidance to document revenue recognition positions.
    • Maintain and update internal SOX documentation, monitor industry/regulatory changes with respect to revenue recognition, and develop new processes and policies to accommodate accordingly
    • Ascertain appropriate revenue accounting treatment under ASC 606 and document conclusions
    • Foster relationships and interface with potentially distributed internal groups (e.g., clinic operations teams) and external financial statement auditors. Assist in revenue and receivable internal and external audit activities.
    • Participate in due diligence of potential Merger and Acquisition projects.
    • Provide support on ad-hoc projects as required.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
    • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility - OR - a minimum of three (3) years of progressive accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibilitiy obtained within a public accounting firm is required.
    • CPA is strongly preferred.

    • Demonstrated technical knowledge and thorough understanding of GAAP in the area of revenue recognition.
    • Intermediate or above level of proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel) required.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication (both written and oral) and collaboration skills required.
    • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment required.
