    The Business Process Analyst II (BPA II) will report to the Sr. Manager of Finance Shared Services, Process Improvement and Reporting group.  The BPA II will possess a strong background in accounting operations and financial analysis along with a broad understanding of multiple disciplines.  The BPA II will be responsible for participating in financial systems implementations from requirements gathering, to testing, to deployment.  In addition, this position will be a trouble-shooter for production systems who will analyze root-cause and work with cross-functional teams to fix the problem at the source.  The BPA II may be involved in developing key metrics and scorecards in order to measure improvements for the accounting operations.  Success in this position will rely on the following:

     

    • Well-grounded in accounting concepts and US GAAP
    • Good understanding of business and accounting processes
    • Strong knowledge in data management and work-flow skills, including ability to document
    • Demonstrated ability to examine and determine complex systems and processes
    • Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly and confidently to rapid changing roles, objectives and priorities
    • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with various departments

    Your Impact

    • Document, derive and diagram desired/future state high-level business processes
    • Extract, compile and analyze financial data to identify problems and/or communicate to senior management; requires excellent spreadsheet design skills
    • Identify, assess and manage changes for accounting-related operations
    • Assist in gathering requirements and defining scope, managing expectations, identifying potential change
    • Design and execute test scripts and test scenarios to support systems implementations
    • Bring innovative ideas to complex problems
    • Build relationships and working effectively with internal and external teams, at all organizational levels
    • Prepare and deliver effective presentations at the right level of detail for each audience and deliver with a communicative, professional and engaging style

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
    • Minimum of two years of progressively challenging assignments over a diverse set of accounting functions
    • Accounting degree with emphasis in Management Information Systems would be ideal
    • MBA and/or CPA a plus

    Additional Success Factors

    • Revenue Accounting experience a plus
    • Advanced user in Excel required
    • Some knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Controls a plus
    • Healthcare or Retail industry experience preferred
