Could This Be For You?

 As an Area Administrative Manager, You will manage and ensure the uniformity, integrity and implementation of all field/operations administrative functions within the market. Ensure that the training of standards of branch administrative policies and procedures for Orthotics and Prosthetics is accomplished. Provide administrative leadership to ensure effective performance of the front office function within the market according to established policies and procedures, laws and regulations. This position requires significant (up to 80%) travel away from home office annually.

Your Impact

  • Lead and/or assist with the recruiting, training and retention of qualified front office staff. Ensure that training in all areas of customer service, payer relations, billing & collections and compliance with federal, state and regional regulations, and Company policies is completed.
  • May supervise Office Manager(s).  May prepare and conduct performance appraisals or provide input.
  • Enforce the compliance with regulatory requirements and Company policies.  Perform compliance audits of Hanger Clinics as needed.  Submit and maintain state Medicaid provider applications as needed.
  • Enforce the compliance with HIPAA Privacy Rules to ensure the privacy and security of protected health information.
  • Ensure the execution of standard Hanger Clinic administrative procedures with the focus on increased quality, productivity and improved workflow.
  • Act as liaison between market PCCs and Corporate Departments to ensure the needs of the PCCs are met.
  • Control/reduce the occurrence of administrative staff turnover through feedback and communication to measure job satisfaction and increase morale.
  • Drive effective use of front office systems and technology, including system conversions and introduction of new tools to improve administrative work processes.
  • Troubleshoot existing contract reimbursement issues and initiate appropriate action for resolution.
  • Coordinate communications with payers to ensure accurate billing practices, enhance reimbursement opportunities and control/reduce A/R over 30 days at and below target level.
  • Manage special projects as requested by the Regional Vice President.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 
  • Minimum five years experience in health care reimbursement and/or five years experience in clinic administration required.
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures required.
  • Minimum five years experience hiring, supervising, training, and coaching others, or successfully functioning three to five years in the role of Office Manager or an equivalent position, is required.  Supervising/managing experience in a multi-site environment preferred.
  • Minimum five years experience with Hanger Clinic preferred.
  • This position requires significant (up to 80%) travel away from home office annually

 

Additional Success Factors

  • Excellent understanding of orthotics and prosthetics business.
  • Excellent understanding of clinic administrative functions including compliance and reimbursement practices in health care, especially as they relate to Orthotics and Prosthetics.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage staff in multiple locations.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop, coordinate and present training programs.
  • Ability to provide written reports on Accounts Receivable (A/R) analysis and any other job-related topic as needed.
  • Expert computer skills, including Windows based office technologies (ex. Word, Excel), computerized billing systems and report writer software.  Understanding of automated patient record keeping and billing systems, and understanding of the current Orthotics & Prosthetics billing system preferred.  The ability to train/coach others in these skills.
