Could This Be For You?

This position is responsible for installing, operating, programming, and maintaining telecommunications services and/or systems across all company facilities. This includes audio, wireless, cellular, video, and VoIP systems. Other key areas include coordinating and performing moves, adds, and changes; acting as the liaison between the telephone providers and the interconnect companies related to communications needs.  Recommends solutions and designs to meet department objectives. Serve as a liaison to users, departments and vendors by providing the expertise on aspects of telecom services and systems used throughout the organization. Maintain SLA’s for all telecom trouble tickets.

Your Impact

  • Programs, analyzes, and resolves problems related to telecom systems within the company; coordinates and works with vendors, acts as liason between vendors and end users.
  • Analyzes and translates business requirements and user needs into engineering, design, and technical specifications to support telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Perform thorough, company-wide telecom audits to include an in-depth analysis of current system configurations, features, operational and services expenses.
  • Trouble-shoot and resolve a variety of telecommunications issues across the company.  
  • Researches and evaluates capabilities and costs of new technologies; makes recommendations to the telecommunications manager regarding system improvements, hardware purchases, and cost reduction measures.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance technical capabilities of the system and reduce operating costs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a 2 year degree in an IT related field OR a High School diploma with four years of related experience.
  • 2+ Years experience working with a PBX Networked environment, including day to day support of MAC, Voicemail, Call Center Support, System Administration and programming of telecommunication equipment. Experience with VoIP systems preferred.
  • 2+ Years performing analysis, design and implementation of telecommunication services and systems.
