Could This Be For You?

The Network Engineering Supervisor supervises subordinate staff, develops local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP), and supports/troubleshoots network issues; including coordination with vendors for installation of such items as routers and switches. You will play a significant role in managing personnel resources, as well as conducting project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. This role provides training and assists with proposal writing.

Your Impact

  • Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
  • Coach team members to improve performance, conduct regular performance evaluations, lead weekly team meetings and individual one-on-one meetings
  • Lead the team to successful completion of goals
  • Provide technical support for Hanger’s enterprise, nationwide network infrastructure
  • Design strategic plans for Hanger’s network that encompasses the overall technology strategy for Hanger and integrates with current and future applications
  • Install and configure network equipment such as routers, switches, VPN appliances, firewalls, wireless controllers, load balancers, etc.
  • Documentation of network architecture and procedures using Visio
  • Ensuring proper monitoring and alerting is in place
  • Initiate, plan, monitor and manage major projects for the network infrastructure team
  • Ensure production network operation remains a top priority, with a goal of 99.99% of uptime
  • Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements
  • Provide “the buck stops here” support for any problems associated with the network platform infrastructure
  • Ensure network systems comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, security and HIPAA regulations and policies

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • B.S. or B.A. in computer science, information systems, or a related degree
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a network engineer is required
  • Experience in a supervisory or team lead role preferred
