    We have an exciting opportunity for a uniquely qualified leader to join a $1B Company that wants to lead the orthotic & prosthetic markets by providing superior patient care, outcomes, services and value.   Hanger is preparing to emerge from a financial restatement period with a strong controls environment and an efficient accounting and financial operation. 


    The Revenue Accounting Manager will report to the Director of Shared Financial Services and manage a team comprised of approximately 6 - 7 team members.  This position will be responsible for revenue and accounts receivable cycles, end of month process, AR Reserves, revenue accruals, controls and operational efficiencies. 


    The candidate’s success will depend on his/hers ability to build operational excellence and demonstrate strong leadership skills.   Take the team to the next level is a key deliverable so the candidate must have strong planning and organization skills.  This candidate needs to be a self-starter, hands-on and detail oriented manager who is naturally curious, drives tasks to completion and has a desire to make a real contribution to the future success of our company.   


    Your Impact

    • Direct and lead the overall strategic vision and performance of the Revenue Team.
    • Actively participate in monthly and quarterly revenue close activities including reviewing and approving reconciliations and other supporting documents.
    • Review and approve revenue related accounting policies, SOX documentation and SOP to support business goals and ascertain that they are in alignment with US GAAP and industry trends.
    • Assist in preparation of revenue and receivable disclosures for SEC reporting.
    • Lead the revenue and receivable cycle due diligence and post accounting of potential Merger and Acquisition projects.
    • Foster relationships and interface with potentially distributed internal groups (e.g., clinic operations teams) and external financial statement auditors. Lead Revenue and Receivable internal and external audit activities.
    • Review and enhance analysis and analytical processes and controls.
    • Lead the performance management, development and education of assigned team members.
    • Provide support on ad-hoc projects as required.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
    • CPA required
    • Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience with five of those years being in a leadership role
    • Master’s degree in accounting preferred 




    Additional Success Factors


    • Previous audit experience is a plus
    • Strong understanding of US GAAP including revenue recognition and researching skills
    • Demonstrated experience with achieving operational excellence through metrics, process improvement and re-engineering, including assessing current state and determining future state.
    • Proven track record of acting as an organizational change agent
    • Accomplished management experience with a sizable team consisting of employees at a variety of levels.
    • Demonstrated business acumen with a strong understanding of financial controls and financial statements.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
    • Proficiency in the use of database tools and financial reporting packages
    • Ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to quickly develop working relationships across teams and communicate both up and down the Corporate hierarchy
    • Health care industry experience preferred
    • Revenue cycle management experience preferred
