Could This Be For You?

As our Manager, Insignia Programs, you will be responsible for leading and managing Insignia (digital scanner and computer) systems to support clinical operations.  This includes customer support for scanner and associated computer systems in the field.  As manager, you will develop programs to improve outcomes from use of scanning technology, define and lead implementation of new products, improve processes and apply best practices with engineering standards.  You will have the ability to utilize your leadership skills by directing and managing customer support personnel to support users and maintain accurate records of assets.  Will have the opportunity to display your firm understanding of computer systems, quality control methods, development of new products with return on investment analysis and metrics to measure progress.

Your Impact

  • Direct self and other technical direct report(s) to support customer’s needs in the field, evaluate issues to define improvement programs and drive continuous improvement for use of scanners in the field.  Programs should be developed thru conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, feedback from users, conferring with vendors and emerging related technologies. 
  • Directs development or product improvements utilizing engineering knowledge for product functionality and failure analysis. Able to relate product design and functionality to clinical outcomes and communicate effectively on design parameters with clinical experts.
  • Provides leadership for all digital related capital improvement projects (such as scanners, computers, carvers and design software) and direction for National Labs to assure investments increase output, reduce costs or provide better products.
  • Report metrics for all assigned initiatives and capital projects along with trends in performance and actions plans to improve. Directs personnel to support action plans, provide accurate reporting for metrics and asset tracking. 
  • Maintains operational and company reputation by complying with internal objectives and government regulations.
  • Must be able to effectively lead a team of technical personnel or support personnel by setting goals and providing performance reviews to direct and develop direct reports.
  • Proficient with wide range of computer systems, Microsoft products to access, analyze and report, CAD related software for usage and targeted improvement areas.  Must be able to gain technical knowledge of the orthotic and prosthetic industry and related custom fabrication technics. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a BS Degree
  • Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or related process management areas.  
  • Two years experience leading efforts to apply best practices with definable outcomes
  • Two years supervisory experience including setting goals and conducting performance reviews at least annually.
  • Proven track record with applying improvements to complex processes
  • Expert knowledge with data management techniques (such writing subroutines within Excel or Access data base).
  • Able to travel in the US up to 25%
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

Additional Success Factors

  • Experience leading and improving efficiencies using lean type of methods utilizing value stream mapping to define target areas.

  • Able to quickly learn new products and processes related to orthotics and prosthetics.

  • Profound communication skills (oral and written) to interact with all employees and establish process standards.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet expected goals within deadlines by utilizing time management and computer skills.

  • Solid knowledge base of analyzing return on investment to make logical decisions on projects to improve efficiencies, quality and service in line with overall group strategy.

  • Enthusiastic with a positive approach.

  • Able to deal with complex operations and quickly learn new products & processes
  • Command written and oral communication skills
