The Assistant Financial Controller will serve as a leader and assists with monthly close duties, ensures the timely completion and accuracy of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) quarterly and annual controls and processes, drive and support key process improvement initiatives, and create / coordinate critical business reports. � �

Your Impact


  • Oversee the general ledger and month-end close process, and preparing Financial Statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Develop, implement and monitor the entire processes and procedures necessary for SOX compliance; including control matrices, process narratives, interfacing with auditors and maintaining supporting documentation
  • Identify and evaluate key accounting / financial reporting risks and pro-actively propose changes in control design to address risks
  • Manage critical business reports (including coordinating, improving and maintaining existing reports and creating new reports as required)
  • Manage the annual budget and monthly forecast process
  • Partner with the Supply Chain and Sales organizations to develop key reporting metrics
  • Provide additional support to the Hanger Accounting organization as required.​
  • Enhance and improve financial reporting deliverables and support periodic SEC filings
  • Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) ensuring sustainable and repeatable business processes and make process improvement recommendations
  • Support and prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner in compliance with US GAAP



Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated and flexible to changing priorities
  • Detail oriented and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communicator, works well in team environment, passionate, respectful and full of integrity
  • Experienced user in Microsoft Applications, such as, Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
  • Sound understanding of SEC reporting and SOX compliance requirements
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP 
  • Working knowledge of in implementing policy, process and operational changes



  • CPA  strongly preferred
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
