This Systems Engineer role requires a service oriented mentality, high sense of ownership of the problems and requests assigned, focus on managing and resolving issues in alignment with the SLAs, establishing and maintaining communication with technology customers to keep them updated with status of their requests, initiating and performing changes on production systems and proactively escalating any issues that cannot be resolved within the established timeframes.





  • Administrating an Intel-based server platform infrastructure
  • Monitoring and maintaining backup and recovery requirements as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures
  • Planning and designing a secure server infrastructure
  • Ensure systems comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, security and HIPAA regulations and policies
  • Monitor, administer and support all server and storage platforms across the Hanger Enterprise – 1000+ servers
  • Providing support for any problems associated with the platform infrastructure
  • Work in a team environment to provide rotating 24X7 support of the server infrastructure
  • Developing and architecting technology solutions as directed by management
  • Properly documenting and maintaining an inventory of all server systems
  • Install, configure, and maintain server software and hardware
  • Replacing failed hardware and addressing server systems problems
  • Troubleshoot reported incidents and problems


  • BS level education and a minimum of 5 years of related experience – OR- high school diploma and 11 years of related experience
  • 4+ years’ experience supporting a Windows server environment
  • Must have an intermediate level of programming or scripting skills in any language
  • Self-motivated to be a team player, with self-initiative to develop and understand technologies and solutions
  • General understanding of I.S. policies, procedures and management documentation
  • General understanding of Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, and Mail messaging
  • General understanding of VMware ESX, Citrix XenApp, Netscaler, and Netbackup
  • Working knowledge of block and File based storage systems
  • Understanding of Dell PowerEdge, m series blades and OpenManage
  • General knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI and other networking technologies like VPN, Proxy Servers, Network Address Translation (NAT)
