Overview

The Compliance Auditor is an individual contributor, which involves performing compliance audits for Hanger, Inc. in order to support the enterprise compliance program.  The auditor may audit Hanger Clinic Patient Care Centers or other departments or divisions of the organization (either remotely or onsite).  The auditor will identify areas of deficiency or non-compliance with Hanger SOP, payer policy, regulation and/or law.  The auditor will work with the audited entity on corrective action and/or remediation as indicated.   

Responsibilities

  • Conduct compliance audit as assigned using established audit protocols and procedures.
  • Present findings to appropriate business leaders and generate reports on findings to the Compliance Analytics team
  • Make recommendations and assist in implementation of corrective actions resulting from audit findings
  • Respond to unscheduled and/or emergency requests for audits or audit support
  • Offer advice and/or counsel to Hanger staff in the areas of compliance with Hanger SOP, payer policy, regulation and/or law
  • Perform other ancillary compliance related tasks as needed/assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, but at the same time able to contribute to a team effort.
  • Ability to prioritize, produce succinct and comprehensive reports and meet deadlines.
  • Computer experience including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • General knowledge of Orthotic and Prosthetic business, workflows, coding and organizational operations.
  • Above average knowledge of administrative and clinical workflow and private payer regulations and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise compliance and regulations which affect healthcare companies.
  • Diplomatic demeanor and ability to present well.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Up to 50% domestic travel required.
