Could This Be For You?

Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. May prepare federal, state and local reports and tax returns. May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy. May generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use. May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders. May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations. � This is a great opportunity to join a $1B company that is looking for an impact player to ensure accuracy in accounting and timely delivery of reporting while facilitating change during a time of great transformation in the organization. As part of the Corporate Accounting Team this role will be a business partner to Operations, Treasury, Mergers and Acquisitions, Human Resources, Payroll, Tax and Real Estate. In addition, also works with subsidiaries to support the consolidation process.

Your Impact

  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
  • Prepare monthly reporting, analysis and reconciliations of certain key balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Monthly, quarterly and yearly close process including preparation of journal entries.
  • Consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations
  • Prep and send Monthly Financial Review file to subsidiaries companies
  • External and internal audit activities
  • 10Q & 10K disclosures
  • Review and enhance analysis and analytical processes and controls
  • ERP implementation team member
  • Interface with management in various departments
  • Provide support on ad-hoc projects as required
  • Month-end close
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Miscellaneous Assignments as requested by Management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA Preferred) 
  • 8+ years of general ledger accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibilities preferably with a large, public company or public accounting experience
  • Big Four Experience Preferred
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Advanced-level experience using Excel, including the ability to work with complex tables and look-ups
  • Analytical and problem solving skills with excellent verbal and written skills
  • Intellectually curious with a willingness and desire to be an agent of change
  • Attention to detail and excellent organization skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to quickly develop working relationships across teams and to communicate both up and down the Corporate hierarchy
