Hanger has an opening in our Information Technology group for an Information Security Analyst II in our Austin office located in the Domain.



To analyze data processing systems and assets for security weakness, provide risk assessments and propose technical solutions and guidance. To implement and manage security solutions and processes to protect the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of sensitive information and assets and directly support compliance with PCI, SOX and HIPAA regulations. To respond to and aid in the resolution of security incidents.



  • With guidance, participates in the security and compliance certification program for business and IT department applications and processes.
  • Provide initial analysis and triage for security-related issues.
  • Participates in the documentation and maintenance of security standards, operational processes and policies.
  • Participates in monitoring for implementation failures of security standards, processes and policies and with guidance participates in the resolution.
  • Works with team to provide end-to-end risk mitigation solutions including identifying the best available solutions, performing full comparative analysis, solution selection and implementation.
  • With guidance, develops automation for repetitive tasks with software and system automation frameworks.
  • Monitor and maintain existing security solutions. Performs daily administration tasks.
  • With guidance, participates in risk assessments, vulnerability scans and penetration testing of new and existing systems.
  • Participates in periodic reviews to identify, investigate and document security weaknesses.
  • Effectively executes the duties of an assigned Security Incident Response Team role.
  • Responds to security alerts on a 24/7 basis during scheduled availability rotation and is always available for aggressive incident response in a declared state of emergency. Certain exceptions to availability will apply.
  • Participates in security education programs for business and IT units.


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 2+ years working experience in information technology; 1 year of it in some aspect of information security
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a Microsoft Active Directory environment
  • Real world experience using scripting or programming skills.



  • Powershell, vbscript, javascript, .NET languages
  • Experience with IDS/IPS design and/or administration
  • Firewall Administration
  • Penetration testing and vulnerability scanning
  • Remote access design/configuration/management
  • Experience preparing management-level documentation
  • Work experience in a company faced with HIPAA, SOX, or PCI compliance
  • Experience in IP networking
